fly fishing?

Taking the editor for The Angler out on the Coosa tomorrow to do a article about catching white bass and small stripers on the fly. In the summer we get them (Stripers) from 5 to 30 lbs but this time of year is great for beginners. I am guessing we will be able to catch more then 100 whites and stripers tomorrow. Should be a blast.

I have a spot on my property that looks promising...

FEARNOFISHBOB..."above", has summed it up well my friend. Spend more time out West when the ice is off flipping a flyline. I am ver familiar with nearby Tennessee river if curious. Drop a line anytime.

ive been fly fishing for several years and am a TU member. fished in MS, all over the north ga mtns, and miles of the Chattahoochee river. judging from the previous post and personal experience, i have not meet a fellow fly fisherman that i didn't like. you can learn so much from asking questions and doing research, but the biggest learning experience is getting on the water and getting your line wet. im sure any questions you have there is someone on here who could answer it, or at least direct you to a person or website that would help.

Adding to the year old thread lol, I found fly fishing in new york state before I left Ft. Drum. I found in the Salmon river you can totally suck and still catch fish! LOL. Naw honestly it is the most relaxing beautiful thing I have ever done. living in GA now I still fly fish, moving up to N. GA soon so I'm pretty excited!

I fished the Salmon River last year. It was epic. The weather was driving rain and the water was coming up and getting slightly off color and we were the only people out there and killed it. Tons of fun.

well i fly fish salt water mostly. i do get up to fish in the hills some but my gear just does not work well in those tight spots. i just love to shot that 12wt out in front of those big silvers or reds.
