I hope everyone can sell the ones they have at the panic prices I have seen. Heck I can't even find a M60 anywhere but while the 249's were going for $7-8k, the 60's were going from 10-14k...I wonder if that means the 60's are now $27-28K?
Anyway a friend of mine picked up a M249S 2 weeks ago for less than $7k and if I don't find one that's below panic pricing, I'll wait until production is expected to resume later this year when they'll be back near the $8500 msrp as listed on their site.

lol, fn isnt going to make any more. People say this every year, and have been for the last 4 years. They are out of production.
And im calling major bullshizz on the "friend just bought one for 7k. No one would sell for that, they were 8k msrp.

Ill give him 8k for it right now. He can even.... MAKE A PROFIT :O

I have turned down cash offers of 22k, 15k and 17k.

It wasn't 7k, it was actually below that. You can call BS for whatever you want but the folks I consider friends doesn't BS me. Just because you pay whatever price you pay for a gun, doesn't mean the gun is now that valuable...it just means you paid that price for it. Anyway my friend knows the prices panic stricken folks are paying for 249's just like anyone else in the business knows. Personally I don't know what's worse, the person that pays stupid money for something or the one who turns stupid money down but whatever the case, it is what it is and I am thankful for them.

Heck look at what folks are paying for ammo now, all that means is folks who wasn't smart enough to be prepared is now going to get raped, and I'll be the first to say there's nothing in the world wrong with giving it to them, especially if they're dumb enough to bend over and spread for it.

Having that said, we all seem to find things off the beaten path from time to time, and that's pretty much how I've been able to get what I have.

Heck this would probably go for $20k on gunbroker, although I've only got a fraction of that in it  Thanks again for the input
