I saw that movie too. To the people that HAVE been victimized before they're not going to stand by and allow someone to get away with it ever again. I KNOW what I'm talking about, i'm not looking into a hypothetical situation that might or could happen, it's happened.
Those pieces of trash aren't "victims", they're scum and they'd have only gotten worse as time went on until they , more than likely, would've progressed to taking someones INNOCENT life. True but in that process he also created other victims.

Threat was neutralized and then "he put a gun to her head to put her out of her misery" like a wound animal?

He shot to stop the threat, he then decided if the intruder lived or died.

Regardless of past transgressions from the intruders, that is murder all day long.
