For those that do some RV Camping

I only carry my edc and two spare mags when I go camping, same thing I carry anywhere else. My edc also includes a basic med kit. If we go on a trip, I will throw extra ammo in a bag just in case I have to do a Morgan Carter. My wife carries also but doesn't camp.

We set up a perimeter every night with trip wires and 12ga. Flash bangs at 150 meters. The inner perimeter we set out claymores at 30 meter intervals on the interior perimeter. We activate an electrified mesh fence fastened to the outside of the camper. We have a deck on the top of the camper fortified with sand bags we fill on site. We keep a flame thrower for close quarters around the camper, a Barrett 50 bmg semi auto used when the initial flash bangs go off. Everyone is outfitted each night with full body armor and tactical vests, each member carries an AR and glock 19 side arm. Minimum of 6 mags for each weapon. We tow a full size ambulance and set up a triage tent at each camp site.
Lightweight...........

I don't have an RV, but when I retire I am hoping to spend a year on the road in an RV. My plan is to bring whatever my everyday carry is at that time- probably a Glock 19 gen 8 or whatever they have then and probably a j-frame tucked away in the RV at all times. I'd probably pack a 30/30 lever action with a scope tucked away so as not to cause me any serious problems if I wander into a less than gun friendly city or state, and to maybe do some deer hunting along the way if the situation lends itself. I haven't thought much about medical gear, but your question is a good one and I will work on that. When camping in an RV, I'm more worried about power, batteries and lights than ammo. I want to have multiple and redundant ways to get power.

I have many years to plan still and most of my planning is centered on solar panels, generators, food, water filters etc. My main form of preparation is centered on this idea: If I am 2,500 miles from home and a pandemic or a terrrorist attack happens and their is some supply disruption, do I have what I need to get home quickly and safely? Not too interested or worried about defending the RV in an apocalypse situation. As others have pointed out, all campgrounds are significantly safer than most cities in America. If there is a real problem or the crap hits the fan, I just want to get home and not try and survive out of an RV.

Wife and I camp in our camper, but we boondock on our own private land in the mountains. So i have my edc and whatever I want to shoot at the range we have there. I carry medical in the camper as well as my truck and edc. Med is boo boo's and ouchies to TQ's, and bleeder kits. We plan to go to some campgrounds but would be just usual edc load.

I remember a guy that went around to the campsites selling wood for fires. Was in a beat up old truck.

He was checking out the easy pickings.

He came back later to rob the easy pickings.

There are goblins everywhere you go these days.

  1. Hellcat and NAA 22mag in camper/S&W 638 in truck
  2. 2 mags full of 9mm: 150rds of 9mm, 50rds of 22mag, 50rds of 38
  3. FLASHLIGHTS: Olight pistol mounted and couple of handeld Olights. Campgrounds have poor light conditions at night.
  4. Have a hiking backpack that I can load out but not pre-filled. Have small shoulder bag that I carry EDC stuff in.
  5. Keep quite a bit of first aid in camper but nothing for too heavy of bleeding. Need to update.
We camp at Lake Oconee 99% of time and is located bordering 37,500 acre Redlands WMA. If need I can disappear into WMA till things get copacetic or stay and make camp in seclusion. Unfortunatley the wife is a glamper and she will stay and go down with the camper. LOL.
