I watched one guy on the video who was supposed to be an "expert" showing off his stuff and I saw he wasn't using rubber gloves, etc. Other things he did were what I'd call 'iffy,' too. That stuff runs at least 10KV (<100mA) and while the current is low the voltage is enough to zap your synapses pretty good and stop your heart as well as set stuff around it on fire.

I was a Class II electrician and an engineer (graduated from NATS) specializing in radars, HV systems, RF and antennas and in the AF I dealt with repairing and testing RF comms systems, some of which pumped out 50KW CW. All I'm saying is that the dangers are something to consider and getting a $100 transformer kit and clamps and spray bottle off Amazon could be a very cheap way to get hurt.
Its not the voltage its the amps that kill you. 100 miliamps I believe.

So geezer geezer , you are getting about $150 for a set of 1911 grips ??

( I just need to know how much I have to save up - since I am limited on work with seizure ordeals, I have to save for a few weeks to get any kind of moolah ! Lol )

Well I’ve scrolled this entire thread and the results are just beautiful.

I would like to see a guitar body burned like this. That would be pretty cool.

Amazing work, Geezer. Stay safe working with this stuff.
