Which boat were you on in Groton? I spent 5.5 years on the 751.

I was Weapons Department LCPO on Hartford and then COB of the Albuquerque (706!!!)

I may have personally put a hand on your MATV before you got it! I was part of a group of service providers for Oshkosh when they transitioned these through the naval base in Charleston, SC. I have also witnessed first hand the fine Americans who assemble these in Oshkosh, WI. I hope we served you well, it was a joint effort.

Those MATVs were so flippin' sick! Loud and mean as hell!! That picture with the flag was right after we blew a tire driving out of a dried up river bed. Luckily one of the LAVs had a crane to help us move the tires (our truck came without the winch that raises and lowers the spare tire).
