I've heard plenty of shooting towards the Muslim compound in the Commerce when I've been nearby at family's place that's a 1/4 mile away. I live about 5 miles from there. Not the friendliest guys. Always see the women at Walmart with food stamps and WIC coupons. At least one girl that lives there was in an arranged marriage to an older guy who her dad chose for her. He is part of the compound but her mom isn't. She goes to see her mom just so she can watch tv and get on the internet. I think they are mostly harmless but you never know with Muslims.
But just think......you could earn a key to the city.
Truth is if some dude kicks in your office door, you prob. have little to no chance to fight back. the best you could hope for is to retreat to a spot to flank, or come up behind the attackers and try to take one out. If you have seen the HBO documentry "Terror at the Mall" its a pretty good idea of all the crazy shizz nit that gos down in that type of situation.
i would have unloaded on there @sSes ,,and then loaded back up for sure in case they goldy locks the wall ...you know climbed my silky blond hair ,which it would have been while shooting at two loaded ak's pointing at me !
We all know its hard to say for sure, but I feel pretty strongly that from the vantage point of that video and armed with a rifle, I would probably engage those murderous scumbags. With elevation, cover, and the element of surprise, hopefully one or both are down before they even realize they're taking fire.
I've thankfully never had to shoot anyone but I've been in plenty of tense situations involving dangerous suspects. I want to believe that I can do what's necessary. Trying to engage them at street level with a handgun? That's a different story altogether. I think the only realistic response there is seeking SOLID cover and being prepared to defend yourself if you come under direct attack.
That video is chilling. And its not a question of IF its going to happen here, but only when. When it does, I'm sure it will be in a gun free zone so this conversation is moot anyway.
