from the stand today

sat from 2 till dark at McGraw ford saw lots of squirrels but no deer today, this was 5th sit in 2 weeks in this area not a lot of sign time to move on.. it's a good looking spot where three ridges come together and the stand is in a saddle where I always saw does last year..

I am going to check out the area I killed my doe there were lots of last years rubs.

Looks a lot like one of my favorite morning stands. Triple funnel area with white oaks and a couple of other oaks. Only different is that you can see more than I can. I've have them coming into doe can calls for the last week.

tried some soft grunts a horn tickling.... Did have a big hawk almost mistake my head for a squirrel..lol

Looks similar to what I'm hunting, a bottom with four ridges dumping into it surrounded by short pines.

I saw three Monday, have been hearing them on the fringes right at dawn since. Hoping we get that cold snap they are predicting Friday morning, this warm weather is killing me.
