This is from my understanding a 1965 gelnfield-marlin model 36 (pre crossbolt of course). It is a transition model, and the receiver is of the modern 336 type, with the round bolt. Absolutely awesome condition for its age. A few use marks but clearly this wasnt a beater/hunter. It has the half tube and is surprisingly lighter than most of its marlin bretheren I own. Excellent.shooter and good looking wood.
The only reason its for sale is the banks are closed on friday and my wifes boss... apparently thought it was OK to not pay his employees over a holiday weekend. So unless I get a gun sold my family is apparently going to sit at home over the holiday. I have this on consignment at a local gunshop now and will be happy to retreive it for anyone wanting to buy it.Can meet ftf around cartersville

If you were closer to me I'd "pawn it" for you for free. Give you the $350 for the gun, stick it in the safe, and when she gets paid you could buy it back (or not). I also was born in '65 and have a few handling marks so I could relate to that gun.

And I appreciate the thought Geaux, better than the lowballer swarm that hit me when they smelled misfortune. I understand a little wiggle room but jeez dont try to kill me on it. My money says theyre not gonna find another one like it next week, so the extra insulting offers get thrown on the ole ignore list.
