Item Description: Up for sale is a nice Remington Model 12-C .22 pump rifle. Born in 1922. The 12-C has a longer octagon barrel and the crescent butt plate. This on has very nice metal, with about 80% original finish with crisp and sharp markings. There is a wear spot on the left side of the receiver, where a previous owner rested his trigger finger. Nice bore. Action is very clean and locks up tight. Has original 1920's Lyman tang peep sight and hooded front sight. Shoots like a charm. The wood is clean and solid, but someone did a poor refinishing job on it. I was going to clean off the varnish and restain it, but never got around to it. The stock is why this is not a 5-600 gun.
Asking Price is $400 and I'll meet you half way, up to 20 miles from Lawrenceville. But, if we meet up at the Bass Pro Shop parking lot, the price is only $375. Now, if you think that is high, keep in mind that the Lyman tang sight sells for about $150 on it's own. See:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Remington-...831783?hash=item547e46f2e7:g:CKcAAOSwNaBeLz6D
That makes the gun value only $225, which is darn cheap. Comes with a 3-day inspection period. If you get it, and don't like it, bring it back in the same condition received for a cheerful refund.
Thanks for looking and here are some pics.
