I am curious how you have akc silver labs. As far as I know the akc only recognizes chocolate, black, and yellow labs. I think silver labs have an interesting color, but at least be honest so unsuspecting people aren't surprised when they can not get papers for their puppy.

Silver labs are controversial right now. They are an off shoot of the chocolates Just as Fox Reds are an off shoot of yellows.

Every DNA test I have seen has proven that the Silver's and the Fox Reds are purebred

My friend has a Fox Red. Damn fine Hunt Test dog and hunter
