Item Description: 400CI Chevy Engine built by Mechanic with over 40 years experience who has now retired and he built this engine for his own car, all internal parts are either GM High Performance or American made. High Compression Pistons, Comp Cams kit with Lifters, Rockers pushrods etc, Polished and Balanced.
Includes a All brackets, water Pump, Edelbrock Hirise Aluminuum Intake And Carburetor. Headers, Polished New AC Compressor, one Wire Alternator, High Torque Starter. Over $1,500.00 in Accessories. He built Engine for himself then decided to put an LS engine in his car. I cranked it on a cold morning with snow on the ground. No leaks under it, held 60+ lbs of oil pressure cranked cold and 50 lbs in drive sitting idling when warm. The engine and transmission have 2,300 miles on them, Transmission was beefed up when built and Shift Kit installed. I bought to build a car around but I have a serious health problem and I am not going to start another project right now.

That is a real bargain in an engine and transmission, there is honestly $1,500.00 in accessories most of which are new. I know the gentleman that built the engine and it was his from his knockdown gorgeous
Black 70 Model SS Nova with a white bucket seat interior. I cranked the car with this engine in it last Feb. it was cold and had been sitting for over a week. There were no oil or transmission spots under it on a concrete floor. The electric choke worked perfectly and the engine cranked immediately with no smoke, metalic sounds and the oil pressure jumped to 60lbs. After it reached running temp I rapped the accelerator and the choke cut off. The engine idled at 800 RPMS and in drive holding the break it held a constant 45-50 lbs.
There is a mistake in the ad this a bored .30 over 350 with either all GM or American Built Performance parts. I bought the motor to build a car around it but my already failing health won’t let me. I would just like to get my money back out of it. If you will buy the engine and transmission today or tommorrow I will cut the price to $3,250.00.
