Item Description: I have a fairly nice Colt Lightning rifle small frame, slide action .22 cal. (short). Made in 1900 per Colt's website and the serial number, 496xx. There were only approximately 90000 of these made between 1887 & 1904. It is in very good condition considering it's 120 years old, functions as it should and is clean inside as well. The wood has no cracks or splits but does have one small area at the rear of the stock underneath at the buttpad where a sliver is missing. The butt pad has the rampant Colt logo molded in it and has no chips or faults. The finish is worn in some spots due to honest wear over the past 119+ years but the gun is in excellent condition for its age. Per the 2018 Blue Book these rifles are valued at $950 at 10% condition. I would consider this rifle to be at least 70% condition, if not higher. I'll attach photos below of it and also of the Blue Book listing for it.
