Item Description: Selling my DPMS G2 SASS AR-10 in .308. The G2 was one of the earliest examples of the short-frame AR-10, with the goal of decreased weight and more compatibility with standard AR parts. The SASS model features an 18" fluted heavy barrel with a 1-10" twist rate and 2-stage trigger. I shot it some when I purchased it in 2015, and it's sadly been relegated to safe duty since. I doubt it's seen 500 rounds. All measured fire, no mags dumps or crazy strings of fire. I don't think I've fired it since about 2018?
Having not shot it in years it kind of surprised me when I picked it up today and felt the trigger. It actually feels pretty comparable to my Geisseles, and I'll edit in a poundage if I can dig up my trigger pull gauge.
I removed the factory quad rail in favor of a Samson Evolution 12.37". I also replaced the Magpul PRS stock with an ACE skeleton stock. These modifications were in effort to lighten the rifle. It currently sits at 8.0 pounds naked, even with that heavy barrel.
Replaced factory gas block to an Odin Works adjustable gas block. Factory competition grip traded out for an ergo. Extended charging handle, factory flash hider, ambi safety. Buffer is basically an H3 because I added tungsten to smooth out recoil and operation a bit. Action is slick with no "sproing" sound from the buffer/spring/receiver extension. Not gritty feeling.
EDIT:
Trigger pull gauge says 1.5 lb first stage, 2.5-3 lb second stage. Quite minimal creep.
I will include original gas block/tube, quad rail and barrel nut. I also have an additional buffer spring from Wolff gunsprings I'll include.
Original Magpul PRS stock for additional cost if desired.
