The label on the ammo can says lake city, ill post a pic when i get home if need be..

Here you go, found this posted yesterday..

From me:
To whom it may concern,
I recently noticed inspecting some bulk Lake City stamped ammunition the primer pocket had a four point crimp as opposed to the round crimp that i have seen in the past. I was curious, Is this due to a change in the manufacturing process (new machine?), or is this ammunition made to a different specification?

Any information you could provide would be helpful.

From ATK

Good afternoon sir;

As to your question on the crimp; we are currently using this newly configured crimp; as well as the older “circular” crimp. Both will continue in production for the foreseeable future. Both satisfy the functional requirements, and there should be no difference in performance of the cases.

That's all well and good but the one in the picture doesn't have a 4 point crimp,it doesn't have a crimp. It does have a cci primer,which lc doesn't use.

The described ammo is perfectly fine for plinking and punching paper and for the OP's asking price it is fine for what it is.

Whether or not you would care to call it battle ammo you would entrust your life to would be open for debate.

EDIT* This ammo is not manufactured by LC as advertised.

They do have CCI primers in them, so i am leaning towards the remanufactured angle..
(Thanks tom for the information)

(I have learned loads about ammo today)

The brass is stamped LC..
