Has the original barrel still in it. The barrel, slide, and frame have Nazi swastika stamped into the metal. Gun as been armaloy plated and pachmayr grips added. No hurry to sell, not interested in a trade. Im trying to get a decent picture but my camera is not cooperating with me.

Pics added, not very good ones. Trying to find my digital camera. My understanding is all Hi-powers are FN, some are Browning.

From Wikedpedia

The Browning Hi Power is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun available in 9mm and .40 S&W calibers. It is based on a design by American firearms inventor John Browning, and completed by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal, Belgium. Browning died in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries.

Nice pistols for sure and it's always cool when it has some history!

Browning was the US importer. FN was the manufacturer. Not unusual to find one not marked Browning, just means it wasn't intended for the US.

The germans took possession of the FN factory during the war and produced and issued Hi Powers as a standard sidearm, (hence the eagle acceptance stamp on this one). Interestingly, I believe some staff escaped with a set of plans and production was set up in Canada by Inglis until the end of the war.

Browning's basic design was refined and completed by FN engineer Diedonne Saive before it went into production.
