This shot gun was given to my 80 yr old granma by her granma when she got married in 1949. its a relic in the family. but they are now moving my granparents to a nursing home and all the guns must go. dont message me asking what im selling. this listing is for the shotgun only.the shotgun is from the 1800s according to the local gun smith. also has a damascus barrel and to the right person very valueable. i was quoted in mint shap $5600 but this piece isnt in mint shape but does look good for its age. almost looks like a Jedd Clampett shotgun lol

Have you tried gunbroker? Something like this would get a wider range of folks who will be more interested in it.

So, you've got a family relic that's been in your family for at least 5 generations, and you're selling it? If it were me, there's only one place that gun would "go".....

I assume you mean it's from the 1800's and not the 1600's? I agree with the thoughts above that selling it may lead to regrets later. If the other guns don't have any sentimental meaning, cut them loose, but this gun has probably put a lot of meat on the table and probably protected more than one home. Me personally, I would hold on to it. I have one very similar that belonged to a friend's great grandfather. He sold it to me as just a cheap wall hanger. I told him he should keep it but he didn't want it. I asked what he wanted and he said $50 so I snatched it up. Neat piece of history you have there.
