First of all it is pretty obvious it's a joke, because it's in the Pasture. Second I dropped my wife off at a 10k this weekend and decided to observe some early morning neckbeardary (look it up in Webster's) at Academy and it did not disappoint. I got there right before they opened and they were already outside waiting to make a beeline to the ammo counter.
It's not obviously a joke because he has guys making him offers. I generally just look at 'new posts' and don't pay attention to where it is listed. I'm not sure this started in the pasture. It's prefixed with 'FS/FT' like a legit listing.
no one is making "offers" over half are asking if this is for real, and I got a few sob stories of why they need it more than the next guy, it doesn't even look the same as a fs/ft ad other than the title. The joke is on them.
