Item Name: Colt Python Factory 3 inch
Location: Elko
Zip Code: 31025
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $8,000
Trade Value or Items Looking For: 3/4 Ton Pickup 8K-10K Value
Caliber: .357
Willing To Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required: No
Item Description:
I have a 1982 Colt Python .357 with a factory 3 inch barrel. This is Not new in the box and unfired, but it is in 95+% condition. Currently it does not have the factory grips, it has Pachmayr grips which came on the gun when I bought it from a friend in 1989. I am looking to trade for a 3/4 ton truck in the 8K to 10K price range. Prefer Fords but will entertain all others.
If you know about this Python, there were roughly 1,000 made as a special edition and they are currently selling for anywhere between 10-20K. I have requested the factory colt letter of authentication and it should be here within the month (Colt claims 2-3 months wait time and I requested the letter 2 months ago.). The value of this gun will only increase, as they are becoming scarce as the collectors snatch these up. If you wanted to buy the factory original wooden grips ($300-350) it would easily add 2K to my asking price. More detailed pictures will be provided to potential buyers/ traders upon request.
Thanks for looking
