Item Name: FS/FT-1941 Ford Tractor-9N- Make Offer

Location: Cleveland GA

Willing to Ship: No

Item is for: Sale or Trade

Sale Price: $850

Trade Value or Items Looking For: 950.00 trade value toward firearms listed

Item Description: I have a 1941 Ford 9N Tractor for sale. I have just replaced the intake/exhaust manifold and have tuned it up. It has been converted to 12 volt, has all the gears and hydraulics work fine. The tractor runs great and fires right up, but the engine is noisy. Needs tires and some TLC but these early 9N models that are this complete and running are hard to find. Located in Cleveland GA. for more details call or text 706.892.8192

Cash price is 850.00
I would prefer a trade on firearms and am willing to trade up or down. Will add cash for the right guns, trade value 950.00.
My interests are:
-Ruger Mini-30 (Stainless)
-Armalite AR 10 (or DPMS)
-Varmint rifles in 220 Swift or 22-250
-Sub-Compact pistols in 45 ACP
-Older SXS shotguns
-1911s
-Colt or Smith wheel guns (older only)
-Most anything tactical, AKs, ARs, etc.
-High end optics

You might want to check your tractor against John Smith's Tractor ID page here: http://www.oldfordtractors.com/identify.htm
Based on the round radius rods (not I-beam style), I think you've got a 2N and not a 9N, especially since 2N serial numbers start with "9N", too.

Hi Ken,
I purchased this tractor the other day and it does say 9N 78XXX on the block, indicates a 1941) so i'm pretty sure it is a 9N. However, she's 70 yrs old, so no telling how many parts were swapped here and there over those years. The 2n,8n, and 9n are pretty similar and interchangable. I'm not an expert by any means on these things...as much as I wanted a fully restored one (b/c they are so pretty), the price was right and she did run and drive. Gonna need little things that I can resolve as time goes on....

I just rebuilt the carb yesterday and going to walmart for a new battery (we had to jump the old one in 35º weather to get her running). Plan on getting her "fired up" again this afternoon. A coat of paint and some fine tuning and she will be working at the hunting camp later this year. :)

Thx. Brian
