Item Description: Here's your chance to own a piece of history! Harper's Ferry marked 1823. I've researched this until my eyes bled, and still not 100% sure of the exact model. I thought it was a Model 1816 2nd Type, but according to Blue Book, it would be marked 1823. I've taken a close up of the markings so you can research and determine what it is if you're interested. I was able to determine that this was originally a flintlock, but many/most were converted to percussion around the 1840's.
PRICE REDUCED to $350. I received some great feedback from OTD members that I had it listed at too high of prices, so adjusted. I'm just not sure how to rate the condition of something 200 years old. I've left this posting open for comments, so if you know more about it, let me know!
