Item Description: This is a piece of history that I've had for a few years now. A highly customized PPC revolver meant to very accurately punch holes with .38 wadcutter rounds.
I’ve loved having this in my collection but I need to make room for some other stuff. Maybe someone else can have this in their collection whenever Gun Jesus from Forgotten Weapons does a video on PPC revolvers and this thing immediately quadruples in value. lol
This revolver started life as a Smith and Wesson 15-3, or at least that’s what the factory marked the frame. Before being modified, it was a law enforcement handgun or security weapon for a nuclear weapons plant in Texas (USERDA PANTEX marked).
This revolver has a custom barrel, custom sights (Bo-mar), a barrel weight, a bobbed hammer, a cylinder modification, and a ridiculously smooth trigger job. This is the smoothest revolver I have ever handled other than a Manurhin.
It’s a super heavy target revolver, built for extreme accuracy, which is what PPC competitions were all about.
I kind of wondered if this might be a Bill Davis build, but I have no idea.
It could also be a Bill Williams or Ken Eversull custom build. Maybe someone with more knowledge on PPC revolvers could figure it out. It’s possible we’ll never know, but I think it was a “big name” because the work is so nice.
The finish is good for its age imo but it definitely has been used. Everything is mechanically good to go.
For trades, I’m willing to add cash either way and pretty open except for:
Glocks (Shadow Systems are okay)
Taurus
Hunting rifles (except lever actions)
Shotguns (except for Berettas or shockwaves and such)
S&W semi autos
Prefer offers in caliber 380, 9mm, 45acp, 10mm, 300 blk, .223/5.56, .357, .44, 30-30, 308, or 300 Win mag.
Sig, Shadow System, CZ, Bergara, Browning, HK, S&W (revolvers), Colt, and weird, obscure stuff are preferred brands.
I'll take non firearm trades in ammo, collectibles, art, knives, and swords. I'm not interested in any knives below $300 msrp.
I assume all traders/buyers are GA residents who are able to purchase and own a firearm. Will need to look at your ID or preferably your carry license. I will do the same.
For any distance over 30 minutes away I will want to meet you somewhere in between.
