Item Description: Looking for some help...Im a general contractor and removed a roof from a property today that was covered with sheets of lead.....my question is does anyone know what the value of this lead would be to anyone who makes there own bullets...Im not even sure that it has any value at all...I have at least 300 pounds of this lead....any help or advise would be appreciated...thanks in advance..

the biggest issue with selling lead is knowing what the hardness is of the lead. pure lead (very soft) is usually one price and the black powder people like it for cast balls, but most other users (pistol and rifle shooters) want something that's harder. something where they have an idea of the Brinell hardness of it. Pure lead is around 5, most pistol bullets are more in the 15-20 range. In order to get there, you usually add other alloys but without knowing what the original lead is it's hard to guess...

but for the right price, someone will buy it and figure out what the harness is and go from there. its getting harder and harder to find good sources for lead.
