I have four of these and if would be in your area it would be 5. I do not know the seller but people you rarely/never/never see one in this condition. It has not been hunted and rarely handled unless with kid gloves. The receivers are a bi-alloy that does not hold blue/paint and barely hold more mordern coverages. This is a later gun with the checkering but I love them. Really glad this one is not a 49M as I would have to start my divorce. I am an old man now, when I was 10 years old this was my dream gun. They were 49.95 and a nice bolt action single shot was 20.00. My dad almost beat me for talking so much about a 50.00 gun when I already had a nice 10.00 pawn shop single shot. Still have the 10.00 after 55 years but covet my 49/49M's. GLWS

Sorry for the rant

What is the 49M ?

I live in Fitzgerald (25 miles) east of Tifton just off of I-75. The 49M is in .22 magnum. The 49R is a tube fed repeater. The other 49's are Martini action falling blocks.
