Looks very similar to the one my Dad had, I damn near cut off the end of my left bird finger on it in 1980. That was the day I learned the hard way to pay closer attention to what I'm doing around wood working equipment. Lol!

If you're going to use it on fingers and elbows, you can run it from a 12 volt DC motor.
But for making dimensional lumber perfect, try a 7-amp AC motor.
