i bought a brand new pf9 abou six months ago and i was having fte problems. turned out to be the extractor. your's may function perfectly out of the box but you won't know unless you shoot it.
i had one that the mag release was defective on out of the box (bought new from dealer last year). it would cycle by hand but when fired it would release the mag and not cycle the next round. Keltec sent me a new piece and it worked great afterwards, but would have never known had I not function tested it.
