The fact that this rifle was manufactured before 1994 makes it worth considerably more to people who live in states that still have AWBs. Preban rifles will sell for considerably more on nationwide forums and gunbroker than a new manufactured rifle. While the preban status means nothing to those of us in free states, the fact that we can sell it to those in less than free states makes this rifle worth more in all 50 states.
Ban states are now I think down to 2 or 3. California is long gone as is NY this year and I think now CT or MD.
Ban covered collaspible stocks, bayonet lugs and flash hiders. Now standard features on our rifles since 9/2004.
Cali now going after all high cap mags - regardless of date of manufacture. Confiscation without $.
Nothing to address the lack of proper mental health care in this country.
So the value is gone on preban AR's for the most part. Same as a DPMS at wally world.
Have one sitting in the safe - tried to sell it via FFL's up north without success. The market is gone.
