Item Description: Here is a rare bird; an Astra Model 900.
These 1930s produced pistols were copies of the legendary Mauser Model 1896.
These pistols may look externally similar to the C96, but internally are almost completely different. In addition, they are significantly more rare. Total Mauser production of C96s exceeded 1 million units, while Astra produced less than 35 thousand.
This particular example is a very early model and is all matching. It is unusual in that it is chambered for the common 9x19 round, as opposed to .30 mauser. It appears to have been sleeved.
Compaire my price to similar pistols sold on Gunbroker and you will find this is a very fair price for an excellent pistol.
