I assume they are always rebuilt by this point.

Based on the picture, it appears to be a replacement stock re-stamped to match the receiver serial number.

Not all are rebult. I have a 1955 that's all OG, not rebuilt.

That's just my assumption to be safe, I'm not always right...lol.

I have seen a lot that appear to have a refinished stock, it makes me think they have been rebuilt.

Rebuilt stock will be marked.
I would not put a refinished stock on the otherwise matched rifle in the same category as an arsenal rebuild rifle.
IIRC sometimes stocks were refinished on the battalion level (I will have to double check).
