Item Description: Very rare S&W .38 SPC snub-nose Model 10-5 6 shot revolver, with Hogue grips. Number puts the gun mid 1960's. According to my research snubbies weren't available after 1967 in this model. Gun has been dipped in a very unique "blue". Not sure if it will show up in pic. Asking $450 Or Best Reasonable Offer. Text or pm for more info or pics. 404-392-9956, Ben

According to Gun Digest Book of Gun Values the Shooter's Guide to Guns 1900-Present the Model 10 shown if it were NIB/Perf condition would be valued at $400. Without original grips and a paint job (which kills value) would be $300-$350. Also the picture shows ill fitting Hogue grips (see rear view pix). I would go $325 only because I collect Police snubbies (mostly Colt). That offer would contingent on what the bore looked like (Policemen never DOR'ed their weapons in the old days it seems). Let me know. kerberos@reagan.com

Thanks guys, I guess we should all run price and history checks through Stigas before posting again. I've always gone by "your item is worth exactly what someone is willing to give you for it!!!" Stigas I'll wait to see if I can find any takers at the current listing price.
