what makes the laser come on? All my Crimson Trace laser grips have a little button on the front of the grip, just below the trigger guard. I don't see anything like that on these grips.

Not on grips, this is a integrated laser just like it says in description. Laser is mounted on right side of receiver and red button is on top of it. Very nice set-up. You can go to S&W website and check it out. I will post a link to it when I get back home in couple hours.
