Item Description: Hey all, up for sale today I've got my Springfield Champion Lightweight 1911.
For those who aren't familiar, the Champion part of the name denotes the size - the gun has a 4" barrel - the perfect compromise between the 3 and 5's you normally see. As well, it has an aluminum full-size frame. This gun is roughly the same weight as an average Officer-size 1911, but it has the benefit of fitting the Wilson Combat 8rd mags.
The picture I'm hosting currently (6:51pm, 10/16) is a little bit outdated. The gun now has wraparound Hogue grips instead of the wood Springfield grips (originals will be included).
This gun is far more accurate than I am. The only reason I'm selling it is because I've put roughly a thousand rounds downrange and I am getting antsy to try something new. I'm probably going to regret selling this, let's be honest. It eats pretty much any ammo you can throw at it and it has always stayed well-cleaned. The gun has been my daily carry gun for the last 7 months and I've done a decent amount of IDPA shooting so there is some holster wear on the gun. Boo-hoo, right? If you're buying this gun, I hope you're going to use it. Which means that doesn't matter!
