Hoping y'all can help me keep an eye out. Moderators please move if necessary. My father-in-law's Haulmark 6x10 trailer was stolen from an off-site storage facility in Smyrna with 20 years worth of tools that he had accumulated inside. He recently retired and was doing side jobs with all his equipment.

If you guys see a Haulmark 6x10 (manufactured around 2006) enclosed painted white trailer that has a rear ramp door and interior dome light I would really appreciate it if you let me know and point me to the posting so we can look into it. I'll try to get an inventory of what was in it shortly from him, but it appears to have been stolen early morning 6/11/2014.

I've been scouring craigslist but so far haven't come up with anything. He has paperwork with the vin number, so once we find any leads all we have to do is check and compare the VIN.

Will give $100 cash to whoever gives us a tip that leads to us finding the scum bags and getting the trailer back.

Single or double axle? Any markings on the exterior?

Single axle, only markings on exterior are the haulmark stickers that came with the trailer when purchased new. Front is flat, not V-shaped.

A tag number would also help. Quite often the trailer is abandoned for the contents, so you may catch some luck and get it back.

Reminder: A trailer can't be registered w/o a title in GA. I had a trailer stolen so i called all the dealers for that type and told them. I got the call from them when someone was looking for a title.

Reminder 2: People will do this on CL: Post an ad for a trailer that doesn't exist. Then they will say to the person that calls "I don't have that one but i have this other one i would sell you cheap that i haven't posted yet". This is how my 18 foot Featherlight was stolen and attempted to be sold TWICE. I hate thieves. I'm sorry for your loss.

i would post a list of unique tools if there are some that old that may have been in there, they will most likely try to sell those off fast and may have easier time identifying them

Ahhhh....I hate a thief! I certainly hope you find who stole it. If you are looking on Craigslist don't forget to look at surrounding areas.

Actually you can register a trailer without a title in GA. any trailer weighing below 2000# isnt titled all you need is a bill of sale. all factory trailers come with a MSO which is similar to a title. if thats all you have though you have to have the local sheriff inspect trailer and run the VIN number.

i had one stolen took me 3-4 yrs before they finally found it. it ran through a traffic stop and the tag didnt match the trailer so they arrested the driver and ran the VIN which reported the trailer as stolen.
