Those 2.7 liters are bullet proof engines. I have two newer Tacoma’s with the 2.7. 1 with 200K and 1 with 40K. 0 issues other than routine maintenance. Solid truck here ODT.

I bought a 2.7 ltr SR5 EX Cab 4x4 new in 1998. Still have it now with 537,000 miles on the original motor, tranny, exhaust muffler cat etc.

I currently have 1 with 200k and another with 50k. Both run like champs. I’m not interested in Big V8’s anymore nor do I need one so it’s 4cylinder power all the way.
