Check out the maverick 88s. You can add a ATI Recoil Supressing stock for the lady. Built one like that for my wife for 200.00.

Even if you can't find one exactly like it. The stock was real easy to replace. Picked it up for about 90.00 on eBay. Fits 88's, 500's, and I think 870's.

My hd is a maverick 88 I picked up from a member on here, 5+1, but it is a 12 ga, but imho a good, cheap piece of protection. Have a pistol grip on it for more manuverability, but that makes it a bit of a handful with the 00 buck
