Item Name: Unfired, NIB XD-S

Location: Augusta

Willing to Ship: No

Item is for: Trade Only

Trade Value or Items Looking For: nice 1911's, S&W's, trade up or down

Caliber: 45

Item Description: Brand NIB, unfired, unblemished, just like you'd pick it up yourself from the store, Springfield Armory XD-S. Two factory mags as well as the box with all manuals, accessories, holster, mag carrier etc included.

Looking for a nice 1911, especially an S&W 1911 SC (the bobtail one), or other higher end 1911's. Also looking for S&W's, especially the 7/8 shot .357's and 45 ACP.

Willing to trade up or down depending on the gun. Please PM me any offers and include a pic or two. I'm not really interested in any of the basic Glocks, XD's, or M&P's unless they are heavily in my favor. Do not want to sell outright, but thought I'd put this up for trade since I still haven't gotten to the range in the two weeks I've had it.

So, funny thing happened. Went out to check on a hunting lease with a buddy of mine and brought out the XD-S to compare size wise with his Kahr MK9. He also brought his 45 out. Thought, what the heck lets shoot this thing.

It's amazing. Groups tighter than the Kahr, and the recoil feels about the same. It also strikes the primer funny, an elongated hit more than a simple dot. I'm going to pull it apart and see what's up, but I'm guessing something is off. Not enough to affect the relibility, but enough that I'm really glad I shot it because I'd feel terrible passing it on to someone like that. I could always pass it on anyway and if anyone actually noticed it has been fired, claim its the factory test fire or something. But that's a pretty awful thing to do to someone and isn't right at all. If this primer strike gets fixed and functions flawlessly, I may consider trades at a later date but as of now I can't trade it in good conscious knowing how it is striking the primers.

Yup, looks exactly like that and I think it's all for nothing. Compared it to a friend's XD 9mm and the strikes look the same too. Thanks for the info, that's really reassuring!
