Item Name: well bubba'd thumbhole Mauser k98
Location: mall of ga
Zip Code: 30019
Item is for: Trade Only
Trade Value or Items Looking For: sks, factory saiga, anything
Caliber: 8mm
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: I did not have this built, nor did the previous odt owner. Just calling it as I see it.
This gun is numbers matching where applicable. Marked k98. Im not a Mauser expert, but I assume German based on Google knowledge. The gun appears to have been done in a traditional american blueing. Couple spots where it looks as if stampings were peened off.
Ted Williams iron sites have been added as well as standard American scope mounts. The rear mount as been ground a little for clearance of the harsh 90° bend in the factory bolt handle.
The stock is really nice looking and very comfortable hold.
Gun shoots good. 70ish surplus ammo included. And some rem lokts and nice l&b 196 gr soft points.
The scope pictures is a cheap Bushnell 4-12x50 I swapped out a friends gun. You can take it or leave it, I never got around to using it. Weaver 1" rise see thrus.
I never get to shoot 100yrds or anything very much. Want to trade for an sks or factory saiga(any caliber, would like 5.45) or anything really. Off all week and need a new toy, ya know?
Bolt action for next hunting season? Maybe axis package. (No 710/770 please) a cheaper pistol caliber lever, or a wheel gun. Just ideas.
Can +/- cash as we see fit. Can add a feg pa63 (think Walter/ cz82 style) in 9mak for a surplus good time.
Gun is hound dog approved as pictured.
