If you are looking for something better than what you'll find off the shelf at your local sporting goods store, or Walmart, give these guys some consideration for you fishing needs. I highly recommend them as I own one their products. These rods are fully custom to your likings, from rod action, to rod power, length, colors, guides, grips, reel seat design, etc. I'm pretty satisfied with mine as the quality exceeds anything I've ever used before.

I'm not trying to advertise or anything, I just really like the quality of craftsmanship that goes into these and they're hand made down in Florida.

Just thought I'd share...

heck learn to build your own.. then you get to choose what rod blank you want to use

rod blanks are the most expensive part of the rod.. other components are pretty much what you care to pay for them

Been building them for years for myself, family and friends

Good place to start

all the features you see on todays rods came from the custom builders. they are always ahead of the curve

A buddy of mine who is totally brilliant has built a couple for me, and they're by far my favorite rods. One is a 7' spinning rod on a MHX blank with Ti Recoil guides, the other is a casting rod set up for pretty much any heavy action freshwater needs short of big swimbaits. That one is a St Croix blank with ti framed Concept guides and some really nice wrap work.

I'm wanting probably two more from him, but am afraid to ask because he won't let me pay him much of anything for them.

The custom built rods are totally worth every penny... what you can get for the cost of a top of the line, off the shelf rod is nothing short of awesome.

Visit the Expo this coming weekend at Winston-Salem, North Carolina http://www.icrbe.com/
Plenty a cool idea of custom rod, good deal on rod blank and component. It's good starting point for the beginner to learn from the Pro as they have a different seminar and they're gladly answer your question.
For years I built custom rod for saltwater fishing but slowing down recently.
