Apparently we can renew by mail up to 90 days before or 30 days after its expiration. There's 3 forms to fill out, one needs to be notarized, plus a $37 money order. I sent mine in today. Let's see how it works.

Renewed my permit in Coweta county. No mail in option so had to go to the courthouse. Fee was $30 cash.
The county sent a notice of expiration 30 days in advance.

Took me and the wife 6 days with a holiday thrown in to get ours in Talbot Cty. Can't believe it's been 5 years already gone.

Dekalb county, going on 6 weeks here. I was out of the country for a month when mine expired and had to start over.

Had to go to the courthouse: $70
Had to go to the county jail: $5 for fingerprints

Just renewed my Utah non-res permit online yesterday.
Easy peasy and only $25 for 5 more years.
I even got a snail mail reminding me it was due.

I got my first permit in 1990. Carried many years before that

Recently renewed in Henry. $35. Was within the 30 days before or after window. Pretty easy. Less than a month to receive in mail. Thanks for the reminder though.
