You have to apply at the Probate Office

Thanks, it's not expired till 2027 I originally was in Clayton county though so hope that doesn't complicate things.

I did mine in Douglas County about 10 days before it expired. Did the application online and just had to review it and sign it when I went to the Probate Court office. Paid an extra dollar for the temporary permit. Received my new permit in the mail about 4 weeks from application date. There was a holiday thrown in that time and I believe there was a bad weather day or two (Jan). They mailed it, no envelope needed from me, or I could have went in and picked it up when ready(they call you when ready). Overall, easy process but a week or so longer than last time was.

Clayton County has approved of my permit as it arrived today!! Fast renewal.

Wish they lasted longer than 5 years, like how the drivers license has an option for much longer.

Got it in the mail today. Not bad. The date says it was issued on 2-24. The post office sucks.
