I just buy Savage and go with it.Do have a new Mossy with accutrigger in 308 that is very accurate ,it was 275 in the box.None of the deer have complained

Yea baby just got my Savage Hog Hunter 308 and man what a rifle! You think the deer will care if I am KNOCKING them down with a rifle called a Hog Hunter?????????

And the whole entry to this thread was the base model black syn stock, matte finish SPS OR ADL can be bought under $400. Asking over that for a used one is futile in my book.

With all this being said, are 700 ADL's still available? I looked at Adventure Outdoors and the SPS is priced at $579 and at Academy they are $379!!! Was I looking at two different rifles?

ADL's might still be around as OLD STOCK but they are no longer made. Some "companies" haven't figured out the SPS is the new remade ADL and still list it and it's price as the ADL so.....

The main practical is the magazine. (Blind vs floor plate). Other minor differences have been mentioned. As much as I don't care for a blind mag in a hunting rifle.... for $200, oh yeah, I'd DEFINITELY be getting over it!
