The problem with avoiding the "politics and hot topics" forum is that many threads about a new proposed gun control law will end up there. Because, after all, when politicians draft and vote on laws that restrict our rights, that *is* politics in action.

But since moderators keep moving gun control related developments and news into that section if you avoid it you won't know what's coming down the pike.

I like to think I'm pretty smart, but I'm totally baffled why anything about the legality of police action gets moved from "law an order" to "politics", or something.
