GA Gun Club in Gwinnett is FINALLY opening May 30!

Are you standing or seated? Or more directly, there are places to sit at the 100 yard range right? Is that bench deep enough for front and rear rests?

In that picture I am kneeling. There was a folding chair in the range that we used also. From talking to the range officer permanent seating will not be in place until grand opening. To answer your last question it would be tight for front and rear rest.

There were also folks shooting from prone.

is the 100 yard range in the basement? I didn't see it top side. is there an area to just spectate down there?

just got back from there. used the 100yd indoor. its a really nice range, the AC just started (opens at 11, i was there at 11 lol) so it was a little warm in there but felt it starting to cool down. my only gripes are no seats, besides a few foldout chairs in there, and the rests are nowhere near big enough. they need to be at least twice as big on the 100yd range so you can have your rifle on bipods and a rear rest to zero in. not even big enough for a lead sled or any kind of rest for your rifle to get a good zero. they don't have a big selection of targets, if you want a precision rifle target for zeroing purposes you better bring your own. they also need tables in the back to sit your cases and gear on. as most people that go with rifles have more gear with them than when you go with just a pistol. i had to sit my cases on the floor. the range guy that came back was really nice. they have a guy that physically comes back and over watches all the ranges, which i like. keep people from being stupid.

you can hear the echo of your round hitting in the back. after you shoot, about a second later your will hear the "thunk". i actually like it lol.

didnt check out prices on stuff though, from what ive already seen from people on here there was no need to (overpriced).

all and all i will be back. just for the 100yd range though. wont shoot nearly enough for a membership though. and it beats driving all the way to charlie elliot for a 100yd zero lol.

I'm going to go check them out on Sunday or Monday. I'm thinking probably Monday though so hopefully they won't be too crowded on the rifle range. If anybody wants to meet there on either day and share a lane let me know.

That's what I was afraid of from the above pics and comments. I just can not understand that. I mean that should be a basic assumption for any 100 yard range. That is a bizarre oversight for a seemingly inexpensive fix.

ya, the range guy that was there was in total agreement it needs more work for the rifle range. i told the people up front when i left also. hopefully they get the message soon lol.

Sunday would be better for me...have a dang conference call on Monday...

Just checked out their 100 yard range - very nice! (Glad I had a magnified scope, 100 yards has never seemed so far! )

I'm gonna check it out this week. It is a lot cheaper than driving to a WMA Range. And I'm sure I don't shoot as many rounds as most of you, but the cost of firing a few hundred rounds of ammo makes the difference in range fee charges less important. Plus I get off on being the worst dressed man wherever I go.
