I just received a letter from the Govenor's Office with a Denial letter attached. The Govenor's Execuitive Counsil stated that, "the Govenor denies the use of the Great Seal of Georgia for the said purposes, as it is not within the said guidelines set forth by the State of Georgia."

I know we have people wanting to Bars N Stars seals, any other option wanted?

We have the following options available...

Option 1 is exactly like the pictures show with full engraving of the lower with the state seal, our name (THE FIREARM COMPANY, NOT DANA SAFETY SUPPLY) and info and the selector markings. The pricing for this option is $135 + tax and will come fully anodized. These will be forged lowers in mil spec configuration.

Option 2 is standard engraving for the required ATF information and the state seal laser engraved in the exact same position. This option would put the cost at $120 + tax per receiver. The cost is lower because the laser is quicker, easier to use and doesn't go thru expensive engraving bits.

Their reply on the ETA:

To be safe I would have to say a turnaround time of 3 to 4 months. I would hope to deliver well before then, but to be safe I want to stick with 3 to 4 months.

***THE FIREARM MANUFACTURER WILL HAVE TO HAVE THEIR MARKINGS, THEIR NAME AND LOCATION, ON THE LOWER. THEY HAVE TO DO THIS TO MAINTAIN ATF COMPLIANCE, BEING THAT THE LOWER IS THE FIREARM PORTION. DSS WILL NOT HAVE ANY OF THEIR LOGO'S, NOR WILL THEY HAVE ANYTHING WITH THEIR NAME ON IT***

I thought the State seal was publicly owned ?? and we being the public, I did'nt realize you had to get approvel to copy it since its not a trademark and its on so many other things, tags, paintings, coffee mugs, key chains etc. We do learn something every day. I'd double check that response, maybe an aide wrote that policy, "not being within the guidelines" does'nt make it illegal, or does it ? LOL

I have seen a few people express interest having the Battle Flag engraved on a receiver. I would also be interested in this, but to be clear the Battle Flag is not the "Stars and Bars" but rather a Battle Flag. The Battle Flag looks like this:

The Stars and Bars looks like this:

I would also not be opposed to this, but I think I would rather have the current Georgia Flag.
