Gang fight in chattanoga

Found it!! Thats crazy, I didn't even hear about the one last year before reading the article about this. I would say Chattanooga has a gang problem, not as big as Atlanta's problems but still a reality. Dalton is another town that I think has a gang problem but the police there don't seem to do much from what I hear.

Dalton has a gang problem? I have lived here all my life and have never heard of a gang problem in dalton. I thought all those sur13 tags on all those buildings in little mexico where just the indigenouse people showing off their artistic ability. Funny though after about 5 of them came in my shop and saw that I didnt back down or put up with their BULLSH&^ my building never did get taged. HMM typical bully mentality. Badazz till they find someone who has a set of nuts and wont go crying away when they see the big bad gang members.

Yeah we have MS-13 and sur or sir or whatever 13. The tiny winos and about three or four more as well as the usual bloods and crips and the other thugs and punks. The really bad part is that these guys are no longer shaken by having a gun pointed at them. They just look at you and smile.

no you have to point a immigration officer at them to scare them.

I was irritated last time I went Chattanooga for work, we were downtown and trying to go to dinner. I made my coworker look for other restaurants because the first few had "no carry signs". I'm not spending my money or my company's money there if I can help it.

Agree, no carry = keep out, in more ways then one.

All I got to say is Gainesville! Come over here and work with me for a day or 2. I supervise high risk validated gang offenders for GDC probation over here. And yes...Dalton is right behind Gainesville. Through the research over the years. Atlanta has a "gang problem" due to population. But Gainesville, Dalton, Albany, August, Macon, and Savannah are a little bit more organized. Just got done with my POST IT lesson plan on street gangs in Georgia. Atlanta's gang activity is increasing due to 30 Deep and the Atlanta Zones. Bloods and crips are a thing of the past. Biker gangs, extermist, and hispanic gangs are exploding!

I taught at Dalton High School for 8 years and left in 2007....the gang "problem" had more to do with how they dressed and them tagging and destroying property....we called them "Cholos" or wannabe's.....posers......but these are all the young'uns....

Since I have owned the shop I have worked with the local cops and bike patrol and the one that concerns me is that we now have MS 13 here and these guys bring in organization and a reputation for ruthlessness.....with that being said, the best thing that has happened to our gangs is the bad economy....lays offs have forced many of the grunts out of town as they could not make a living as a "professional gangster"....be curious to see what happens when Obama resurrects the economy!
