Have you got the pipe dug up/exposed to do this?

Do you have access to the shutoff valve?

Do you know where the shut off valve is?

I have dug down to the galvanized pipe. The T junction comes straight up. The shut off valve is behind the wall between the patio and yard.

dig deep enough to clear a pipe wrench twisting the pipe.
