I was thinking about doing the same. I would assume Glock would replace it with a Gen 3 frame, does that sound right since they don't make the Gen 2's anymore?

Yes Gen 3. Im not even gunna say anything about it at first. Just hand it to them and ask them to check it and make sure its good to go, they do this for free.
