Hey there, I've been looking for a double stack 9 mil glock to carry in my car and train with up until I'm able to acquire a CCW, presently 19 years old but I visit downtown Atlanta quite a bit and I'd like to have some measure of defense in my vehicle. In the Kennesaw/Acworth area, willing to drive 30-40 minutes to meet.

Man we dont sell pistols or deal with people less than 21 years old, also if you don't have ccw no member here will deal with you either my suggestion is go to a gun range where they rent guns and they will probably let you train.

You all just either generalized every member on the site or said that you don’t understand GA gun law, private handgun sale to someone between the ages of 18 and 21 is perfectly legal provided that the seller is not a FFL, and someone without a CCW and/or in that age range is not only legally able to possess a handgun, but is able to carry it in his or her vehicle in a glove box or other enclosed compartment.

I’ve also already been in several conversations on ODT with people who understand GA gun law and are willing to, but plans fell through for different reasons.

Being uncomfortable with the sale due to lack of a CCW is one thing that I understand and don’t fault people for, granted a valid voter ID proves more or less the same things in regards to legality of owning a handgun.

I understand GA law completely on it. Yes, you can buy a gun under 21 in a private sale from non FFL and you can carry it legally in an auto if properly stored. My position is that I'm just not gonna sell one - any gun - to someone under 21.

So go get your parents to buy you one and wait two years to get your GWCL. Also I hope you see how sketchy it looks for someone who been on here for almost a year with NO feedback to come say "its illegal for stores to sell me a pistol because I'm 19 but I want one of you to do it." If its illegal for you to walk into a gun store and buy a pistol and you have told your scenario to your family and they wont buy you one, then i hope you see how it appears to the general public who don't want the liability of something a FFL wouldn't do. Best of luck!

My family isn't too fond of firearms in general so while they won't stop me from buying one and are aware that I'm buying one, they won't buy it for me, not to mention if I gave them the money to purchase one from a gun store then it would be a straw purchase and then would legitimately be illegal. The ability for a relatively independent adult to defend themself should be a given, and this is the most legally sound option for me, so I've put up this ad. Rather than letting it be, you came in and said that it was illegal to sell to me, which it is not.
I do appreciate the wish of luck, and in turn wish you a good day.

*Also for reference, I made the account looking for my first rifle a year ago, which I ended up just getting through a physical store.
