Vietnam (66-67) 1st ID . B co. 1-16th was overran by NVA. I was point-man B-2-18. They took all weapons but the m16s. I was the first one in, they had 90% dead and wounded. All the dead had jammed m16s. One received the MOH Pos. Later changed all 3 prong supressers, we broke the c-ration straps with them. Didn't help. Changed all stock springs, didn't help. OK, it must be the bolt. Changed all m16s with new bolts, guess what, didn't work. I've read somewhere that the Gov. didn't use the right powder mix that was supposed to be used. What-ever, those bastards got a lot of good guys killed. FFF the gov. and dod. sorry about the rant.
