Shout out…my cat will fetch quite good. Craziest thing ever.
LMAO! That's been pretty much my experience with cats.
Yeah, I know. I've played with relative's cats. That's the rub. My dog will wake up from a deep sleep and be ready to play at in 2 seconds, merely by bouncing a ball on the floor.
Cats are a different story. They are more independent. If they were a human, I would have to schedule it with them. I'm not doing that with any critters. My play time is limited..

Looks like the Cat from Hell is nearing her expiration date. Been a major expensive anti-social critter since we adopted her in 2008.
Not been eating, losing weight, lethargic.
Not going to put her through a vet visit, she freaks out when she sees the carrier. Mobile vet only works Thursday through Sunday.
Going out to dig a grave in a little while, will call the vet tomorrow if she makes it through the night.
